Software changes are done in one system and will be
transported to the system landscape which is linked to this system by transport
routes of the Transport Management System. But sometimes it is necessary to
implement these changes into another system landscape but without using the
import function of the transport requests. Imagine this scenario with a Maintenance

already go live.<o:p></o:p></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 14.25pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; vertical-align: baseline;">
Now you want to implement a
new functionality, you will use a second development system DEV to work in this
new implementation, by working in DEV you will not disturb the maintenance of
the PRD done in DEV system.<o:p></o:p></div>

If a change is done in DEV this
change must be done also in the MNT to maintain the synchronization, this is
the reason of retrofit functionality, to help in getting the change done in DEV
arrives to MNT.<o:p></o:p></div>

will provide the same Production system of the landscape finally.<o:p></o:p></div>

Often we need to convert the system time to local time of the plant and if the local time of the plant observes day light then result is 1 hour off sometimes. This problem occurs due to time difference of daylight saving. If you are facing this problem (like me) then please check your DST system using transaction STZBC.<br />

Hi Friends.<br />
<br />
SAP is full of surprises. Today when I was trying to test a program, I saw the messages are not coming properly. Instead of showing the full message, it is truncated with a cross icon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWI4UgIPH-P5ZY_V7AJqFChjO5VS93l1oPWEBJF_T2ZMyH9DuilMD1pHkEwCvDtc4BbqNzt1lRIAucLlhPhD8MTVGSnOkaSAGmcjRRZ5VMIkikMU9kL5aa7UK7-kjb4pKHX9eDBU-7mM9g/s1600/2011-11-28_160435.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="105" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWI4UgIPH-P5ZY_V7AJqFChjO5VS93l1oPWEBJF_T2ZMyH9DuilMD1pHkEwCvDtc4BbqNzt1lRIAucLlhPhD8MTVGSnOkaSAGmcjRRZ5VMIkikMU9kL5aa7UK7-kjb4pKHX9eDBU-7mM9g/s320/2011-11-28_160435.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Finally I was able to trace the source of the problem. The problem lies in the SAP FM - POPUP_WITH_TABLE_DISPLAY_OK. I have used this function module numerous times in past and but this time, I realized there is a "IF" condition in the source code of this FM at line no - 68.<br />
<br />
<span class="L1S52">LOOP</span> <span class="L1S52">AT</span> LISTTAB.<br />

<br />
<br />
So if the 16th character of your message is either S or F, then your message will be truncated. If you are facing this problem now you the reason. You can solve this issue in your own way.<br />
<br />
[My sol - simply convert the 16th character to lower case if it F or S.]</div>Voicehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02691985661099575595noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3153584189833186022.post-39216862650912336222011-10-25T06:43:00.014+05:302015-12-11T20:54:57.597+05:30*.IDO file for IDocs<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
